NYC Music Services prepares scores and parts for performance and publication. Our work combines editing, notation, and print production, with close attention to what conductors, librarians, and performers need from the materials.

From source files to the music stand
For the Philharmonic’s orchestral version of The People United Will Never Be Defeated!, we received music in Dorico, Finale, Sibelius, and handwritten manuscript. Over more than a year, our team worked with the orchestra as chief editor and music preparer, bringing those sources into a consistent set of performance materials while preserving each composer’s artistic intent.
We developed a house style from our Scoring Express settings, customized it for the project, and produced the final files in Dorico and Sibelius. NYCMS printed all the scores and parts used in the premiere performances.
